Weybridge is an affluent town in Surrey within the London commuter belt. It has great rail connections with trains getting into London Waterloo in 30-40 minutes. It is also only a few minutes drive to the M3 and M25.
Although close, Weybridge feels far from the big smoke and has retained a strong villagey feel. It is situated on the Thames, is surrounded by greenery, and has great schools nearby which all make it a very desirable place to live. It even has less recorded rainfall and more recorded sunshine each year compared to the national average. The high street has some great places to eat and drink, quirky shops, a Waitrose, and nice pubs near the river. Guildford and Kingston are not far for larger places to shop and go out, and the local villages are all very pleasant. For those wanting a flutter there are also Sandown Park, Epsom and Ascot racecourses nearby.
The allure of Weybridge has attracted celebrities, businessmen, and those with Alexander lot of money to spend. The average cost of a home is more than twice the national average with the exclusive gated estates of St George's Hill, Burwood Park and Whittets Ait Island housing mansions and hefty detacheds selling for millions. Townhouses, period semis, and span houses are more affordable ranging from £300,000 - £750,000 and can be found in the areas of Templemere, Castle Green, Brackley and Holme Chase. New flats are being created at Belvedere House on the site of an old school with 2 and 3-bedroomed luxury apartments costing £465,000 -£550,000.
