Tipton is a small town in the West Midlands merging with Sandwell and Dudley. It is located between Birmingham, 10 miles away and Wolverhampton, a mere 6 miles distance. It has a train station which also links it to Coventry.
Tipton's population is only around 47,000. It is a town in the heart of the Black Country and was the centre of the industrial revolution in the West Midlands. It is home to many canals which provide enjoyable walking and gave Tipton its nickname 'the Venice of England' hence the number of bridges!
Tipton has all the usual amenities although for the buzz of the big city Birmingham and Wolverhampton are preferred. It has good sports and leisure facilities and a range of properties available with new complexes such as Hamlet Place beginning to pop up.
