Sutton is a pleasant town on the edge of Surrey within Greater London. It is about 10 miles from central London making it a perfect commuter town. It has excellent travel connections with direct trains to Victoria, London Bridge, Kings Cross and the City - all taking about 25 minutes. 24-hour buses and an underground station just north of the town are also gateways. The M23, M25 and A3 roads are easily accessibly making an easy journey to Gatwick and Heathrow. Travel by rail to the coast takes under an hour.
Sutton is considered one of the safest boroughs in London to live and is well-known for the quality of its grammar schools. The high street has a range of good restaurants, bars and shops with the usual cinema and leisure centre facilities available. It has two theatres and there is an abundance of greenery with two parks, one common and the North Downs on the doorstep.
There are lots of Victorian and Edwardian properties on offer in Sutton with flats available in the centre. The southern and eastern parts of the town are preferred with quality affordable housing being found between Brighton Road and Carshalton Road. There are also nice surrounding villages such Tadworth, Walton on the Hill, and Cheam.
