The City of Nottingham is one of the largest urban areas in the UK, with a wealth of landmarks and attractions within its boundaries. While its most widely known for it's associations with Robin Hood, the area was also recently named one of the top 10 cities to visit in the World by Dorling Kindersley. Sport, Arts, Science and Media all compete for attention and there's no shortage of shopping and entertainment.
Historic industrial buildings in the City centre make a great living environment, though renting or buying can be much pricier in the most attractive buildings.
Towards the Meadows and St. Annes there have been some issues with gangs and high crime, but this is now being bought under control, and the area is beginning to see improvement. For families this might not be the best option, for a few years at least.
The Park is a somewhat affluent area, offering some very attractive Victorian homes at inflated prices. In studenty Dunkirk it's possible to get more for your money, but without the prestigious address. Clifton and Mapperly are a little further from the city centre, but still within a bus ride, and prices tend to be more reasonable.
