Morley, just five miles from Leeds city centre, spreads its 50,000 strong population across seven separate hills. As a small market town, Morley has a great local identity, and several traditions and attractions for residents to get involved with. Notably the 'Heritage Trail' is a great footpath linking the town to the local countryside.
Transport links to Leeds, Bradford and Wakefield make it a great commuter centre and several secondary schools and a local college make this a good place for families with children.
There's a wealth of detached properties, and even new housing developments seem to be maintaining the trend for detached homes as much as possible. Prices are around average for the country, with bargains occasionally available. The majority of homes coming available are new builds, towards the outskirts of town. However areas such as Dartmouth Park have an array of beautiful Victorian terraced homes, often at surprisingly good prices.
Nearby Gildersome offers some larger up-market properties for those at the more expensive end of the market.
There's a real mix of characterful older homes, and nicely designed new builds available here for good prices.
