Nestled within a pocket of steep hills, Mansfield is a somewhat idyllic town, centered around a traditional marketplace.
The towns mining heritage is visible throughout town, and the industry has left a legacy of long rows of terraced homes. The town centre has suffered over recent years with many closures, however it's hoped that current redevelopment projects will improve the area in the near future, making now a great time to buy.
New developments on the outskirts of town offer modern houses at modest prices, while in the city centre terraced family homes are cheaper than a lot of other areas.
Within five miles of Mansfield is the village of Warsop, which can offer really nice family homes, while still being close to facilities of the bigger town.
Generally the area offers a relaxed pace of life, and easy access to the countryside. While the town centre is a little rundown, redevelopment should see improvements in the near future, and low home prices can make this a great place to buy a bargain home.
