Just over 80 miles from London, Kettering is a market town in Northamptonshire and a popular commuter location.
Fast train services into London take an hour directly into St Pancreas International and from there it is a direct line to Ebbsfleet International in Kent and Ashford International to continental Europe. The A14 links the town with the M1 and M6 motorways and onwards to the M25. There is an extensive bus service in the area and access to 5 major airports is possible within a couple of hours.
There are a number of local schools in the area offering a wide choice of education and extensive leisure and shopping facilities. The local economy revolves around logistics due to its central location and the excellent transport links. Local companies include Morrisons who have a distribution centre there and Weetabix. Kettering is also home to the UKs oldest theme park, Wickseed Park which draws over a million visitors to the area every year.
Property in the area ranges widely from smaller flats and apartments to larger semi and detached houses. In the Headlands and Rockingham Road area many large houses were built for factory owners and nearby, many terraces were constructed for factory workers. Since then there have been additional development offering more modern properties again of all sizes.
