Fife is an area in east Scotland which encompasses a number of towns, the most famous of which is Dunfirmline, and is also home to St Andrews which was the University of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and is also commonly known as the home of golf.
It sits a few miles north of the Scottish capital city Edinburgh so is ideally placed for people wishing to commute into the capital as well as enjoy the country life available in Fife.
Whilst Dunfirmline is a town packed in rather tightly with rows of terraced houses and flats, further out east, houses are more spread apart and detached.
No matter where you are, you will find property at very reasonable prices, with even multi-bedroomed, detached houses are well under £150,000
It would suit property developers and landlords hoping to cash in on students looking for housing at the University, whilst the students themselves would be able to rent very cheaply.
Entertainment wise it is low on urban excitement, for which you could go to Edinburgh, but has many areas of outstanding natural beauty and the world famous golf course in the north east of the area so is also right on the money for retired individuals and couples.
