With a population of less than 60,000 Farnborough is a north-east Hampshire town with an airport within the town boundaries and a famous annual airshow that brings large numbers of visitors to the town every year.
The town is less than twenty miles from London so is commonly used as a commuter base for people who cannot afford or don't want to live in the city and are also keen to enjoy the countryside benefits of Hampshire.
It is linked to London via the M3 and that same motorway can take you down to the south coast in about an hour. It also has very good rail links, allowing Waterloo to be reached in around 45 minutes.
The south east of the town is where the majority of properties are available, and they come in a range of styles, from £150,000 flats to £450,000 detached four-bedroom houses, giving prospective residents an affordable base outside of London, regardless of budget or number of rooms required.
There are limited shopping and entertainment facilities in the town centre but Guildford is only a short car or train ride away so you would not be short of things to do.
