Cumbernauld is a large town in the North of Lanarkshire in Central Scotland. It lies within easy reach of Glasgow and was initially conceived as an overspill for the city and therefore boasts of strong transport links to the city.
The rail station, industrial park and town centre lie to the East of the town, whilst the residential areas surround it to the North and West. Homes in the area tend to be suited to small or medium sized families owing to their spacious interiors and large gardens to the front and rear. Because of its convenient location and variety of conveniences prices in the area are not much less than the city, although there are some more affordable properties on the periphery of town.
Because it lies within easy reach of Glasgow and caters to larger families who prioritise conveniences and space over the high prices and smaller properties in the city centre. It is set to remain a wise investment for many years, as Glasgow continues to grow and requires more housing for its large population.
