Coleraine is a large town in the county of Londonderry in Northern Ireland. It is around 50 miles commute from Belfast and 30 miles from Derry.

To the South and on the West bank of the river which bisects the town, one may find larger homes at more reasonable prices, away from the busy shopping centre and industrial parks. To the South of Somerset Forest, in areas such as Castleroe, one may find property in surrounding more akin to the countryside. Properties in this region may be larger, but come at a premium cost.

With a thriving student population, and expanding residential estates, it seems that investing in your first property in the area will be a fine choice.
