Chesterfield is a large town in the North East of Derbyshire, in the North Midlands of England. It lies within commuting distance of both Derby and Sheffield, and is famous for its large open-air market.
As with most market towns, property around the centre, where retail and travel establishments take precedence, is at a premium price. Some residential properties are available to the East of the rail line, however the bulk of property prospects lie to the West of the busy town centre. Brampton and Boythorpe are perhaps the largest, with strong links to the centre, as well as a convenient proximity to schools and sports establishments. Properties further to the North, in Newbold, offer larger grounds and perhaps more room for families with more children, however they will cost more and are located near busy and loud transport links. Some properties, though, may be worth much more in the years to come as the centre of the town expands and the demand for space increases.
With a variety of residential homes, strong transport links, and a recently redeveloped town centre, Chesterfield is sure to be a safe bet if you are considering purchasing property in the region.
