Ceredigion is a county in mid-west Wales with a large coastline on the west coast of the country. Its largest centre of population is the city of Aberystwyth, although its borders encompass a vast expanse of smaller towns and rural land.
Obviously there is a huge variety of property on offer within an area of such geographical variety. Prices in Aberysthwyth are closer to general city prices, but are nonetheless fairly reasonable owing to its recent development. With a growing student population in the centre of town near the seafront, investments in this area are guaranteed to retain their renting potential in the long term. In the more rural areas of the county one can expect to pay less for larger properties, but without the security that an investment in an established city or growing town will offer.
Because of the variety on offer it is hard to make sweeping statements about property in the area. Purchasing or renting in the area should often be considered on case-by-case basis with consideration to local amenities, location and the potential for growth in your investment.
