Castlereagh is a large borough in Northern Ireland. It is a largely urbanized area, lying to the south of the city of Belfast. It offers a fantastic range of rural and urban properties, right on the fringe of one of Ireland's main cities.
Property in the area varies according to the desired proximity to conveniences, and of course, the style and size of house desired. Many terraced red-brick houses are available in close proximity to the old industrial district, however many opportunities to buy or rent exist in satellite towns further from the city. Some of the larger towns, such as Carryduff and Dundonald offer self-contained amenities and conveniences all within easy reach of the city. Because these areas tend to be in high demand the prices are closer to those in the city than those of the countryside or town.
Obviously as an outlying district of Belfast city, the area is particularly popular with commuters and young families looking to move further away from the city whilst still enjoying all of its conveniences and the professional opportunities it has to offer.
