Carmarthenshire is an area in the South of Wales. The three largest towns of the area are Llanelli, Carmarthen and Ammanford.
The area is known for its rural landscapes and rich agricultural economy, as well as being of great historical significance to Wales and the United Kingdom in general with its variety of national trust sites and natural reserves. The area also has a long portion of coastline to the south.
Of course, when considering purchasing property in the area the primary decision which one must make is whether to live in the town or countryside. Prices and sizes of properties naturally vary according to the outcome of such decisions. In the largest of the towns, Llanelli, one can, of course expect to pay more in order to be closer to the town centre or seafront, however in the more rural areas of the county one can expect to pay a reasonably unvarying price for similar properties, but one must consider the cost of travel.
Carmarthenshire is a vast area with a huge range of properties in an endless variety of locations. Because of this variety, when buying in the area properties must often be considered on a case-by-case basis.
