Cannock is a large town situated in the centre of Staffordshire within 45 minutes of commuting by train to Birmingham.
It has a large and growing town centre, with an impressive array of leisure and entertainment venues as a result of its growing population. It is also particularly notable for its indoor and outdoor markets, and developing retail outlets in a variety of locations around town.
Although the majority of property in Cannock is in the style of fairly affluent late 20th century residential estates there are many new developments occurring in tandem with general growth in the area. Of particular note should be the new developments on the border of Cannock and Heath Hayes, which are conveniently located near the train station and other transport links. Properties with a historical slant to their style can be found in the town centre, near the busy market district, or on Shoal Hill or Wolverhampton Road.
With a strong education system and a growing independent retail and social scene, Cannock is on the cusp of becoming a self-contained, large town which is very attractive to young families moving away from the city who still desire all of its conveniences.
