Beeston lies just beyond Nottingham and is often considered as a suburb of the city. Beeston is on the direct rail line to London St Pancras, which is around two hours' journey time away. There are excellent bus and train links to nearby Nottingham, and the area is handy for the M1, via the A52. Nottingham East Midlands Airport is 13 miles away.
You'll find a full range of housing types available, from flats and small Victorian terraced houses, through to more modern semis and larger detached homes. Properties in the area tend to be more competitively priced than in many parts of the UK. For Victorian and Edwardian housing, try the St John's Grove estate, or the slightly larger houses of the Imperial Park Estate. You'll find further housing developments on the more recent Bellevue Park and Cottage Grove estates.
For more exclusive properties, check out the area around Beeston Fields Drive, with more moderately priced semis to be found in the Lynton Road area. Cotswold Court offers some of the least expensive properties in Beeston.
Beeston is close to the University of Nottingham's main campus, so if you're looking to enter the buy-to-let market, investing in a Beeston property could be a good a move.
