Keighley is part of the metropolitan borough of the City of Bradford in West Yorkshire and close to the City itself.
Transport links in the town are good due to its proximity to Bradford and the city's main line train services. In addition, Leeds Bradford International airport lies nearby and the town is well serviced by the M606 which is itself a spur of the M62 motorway. Bus services are excellent throughout the area.
There is a large Airedale Shopping Centre in the town and three major supermarkets as well as the Keighley and Worth Valley steam railway and other extensive leisure facilities. Being part of 'Bronte country', the area made famous in the novels by Emily Bronte, the town and surrounding areas are tourist attractions.
