Hartlepool was previously a heavily industrialised town situated in north east England in County Durham. Major investment in the 1990s brought new life to the town centre and a marina forged from the original dock area. At the same time the Middleton Grange Shopping Centre was modernised and the Historic Quay regenerated to supply new housing.

From Sunderland there is a fast service to London calling at Hartlepool Station which takes three and a half hours. Bus services are also good and link the town to the local area.
