Lying within 25 miles of the London Underground, and with the River Thames flowing through its centre, Maidenhead is a world away from the hustle and bustle of Central London.
The town centre is full of lovely Victorian buildings and green spaces, while still having a cinema, theatre, great shopping facilities and modern transport links.
Areas such as Boyn Hill, Altwood, Belmony Park Avenue and Boulters Lock offer large impressive homes, at matching prices. In the City centre it's easier to find less pricey homes, but of course they lack the impressive demeanor of the outlying areas.
Smaller villages nearby can offer some great homes whilst still enjoying great transport links. For families Twyford is a particularly good choice with very good schools.
Maidenhead itself lies very close to both Reading and Windsor, as well as being commutable to Slough, so there's a wealth of industry and work in the area. As regeneration is planned in the area prices are likely to rise in the coming years, so now seems to be the time to invest.
