The town of Guildford sits in the centre-west of Surrey and is a hub of shopping, education and arts.
With the A3 running right through the centre of town, Guildford is the link between London and the south of England, enabling residents to easily access the capital for work and the south coast for pleasure.
That's not to say that Guildford is lacking in entertainment or employment itself. The town has a huge retail sector, supplying residents with fashion, food and furniture, among many other things, which provides jobs to many of the youths that live there either full time or during term time.
The latter group help the rental market in this town to boom as Guildford is home to the University of Surrey, as well as the Guildford School of Acting.
As one would expect with the location and amenities on offer, house prices are on the high side, buyers of a three bedroom property rarely getting change from 400,000 but if you have the money, it is a great place to live as it is a train ride from London, has all the daytime and nighttime entertainment you need and superb links to the rest of the country.
