Greenford is a north-west London area, just on the outskirts of Wembley.
It is an area most famous for its chemical engineering history, but also has links with Hovis and J.Lyons tea.
It is well set up for family life, with a number of schools within its boundaries and excellent travel links with London city centre via Tube and Overground, making it a neat suburb for those not keen or without the financial ability to be in the centre.
In terms of properties, most of them are terraced and semi-detached houses with around three-bedrooms, so, once again, pretty much ideal for the average family. Prices for these properties tend to be around the 250-300,000 mark so very reasonable considering you are under half an hour away from the city centre and located more towards the affluent west side of London.
There is no particular area that is more or less desirable than another and the A40 runs right through the centre, which has a pretty decent High Street.
All in all, Greenford mixes location and price perfectly for an affordable commuter town.
