A country cottage is a cozy, quaint, modest property tucked away in the rolling hills of the countryside. They are usually simple constructions built using traditional methods with a sizable garden attached (at least 4 acres). Typically four rooms, ("two up two down") although some now have extensions. Interestingly if you decide to live in a country cottage, traditionally you would be called a 'cottager'. In modern days, these romantic little dwellings are often low builds with exposed timbers inside and out.
