Enfield is a north London borough, located just inside the M25 and was once well known for electrical engineering.
As with the majority of outer London boroughs, Enfield is well linked with the rest of the capital via the overground, with three stations within its boundaries. Being so close to the M25, escaping the London is fairly easy too, so residents of Enfield have the best of both worlds.
In terms of living, residents of Enfield are well provided for. Extensive renovations have taken place in the main shopping centre, Palace Gardens, to provide an excellent and comprehensive shopping experience for residents and there is also a cinema. Plus, it almost goes without saying, the centre of the country's capital is minutes away so little opportunity to complain of nothing to do. This fact also makes commuting to the city centre an easy task.
The majority of the western side of Enfield is of a residential nature and comes in the form of flats. Considering it is within the M25, prices are low for these. Buying a flat in the town could be as cheap as 90,000 whilst houses start from about 250,000.
